Synergy Series, an evening of dance that is greater than the sum of its individual parts. 

Emerging and established choreographers from diverse backgrounds who practice varying genres of dance are invited to propose new or existing dance works for Synergy Series. This initiative is a platform for choreographers to come together, share their work, and engage in opportunities for conversation and feedback from the audience and participating dance professionals. Feedback cards are customized by each choreographer, who use the information gathered to inform the next phase of their work.

In addition to presenting work on the shared evening of dance, artists have specific opportunities to network. In-person events and social media initiatives provide opportunities for artists to share about their ongoing process with each other. This develops camaraderie, which supports individual artists in the development of their works. 

The concert is intentionally low-tech and intimate, held in Artsville's 160-seat theater in the Madisonville neighborhood of Cincinnati. 

Proposals are reviewed by the Co-Artistic Directors Rowan Salem & Teresa VanDenend Sorge with a team of three additional panelists. Up to 8-10 choreographers will be selected to share their work. Synergy is an ongoing series with the goal of supporting and connecting diverse Cincinnati-area dance artists.
